66 Friends Rescued Receive E-CLIP Assistance in Sultan Kudarat
A total of 66 Friends Rescued (FRs), including 34 individuals rescued by the 37th Infantry “Conqueror” Battalion, recently received the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) Package of Assistance. The distribution took place on September 13, 2024, at the Provincial Capitol in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, and was organized by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
The 37th Infantry Battalion (37IB) played a crucial role in assisting the FRs during the distribution of livelihood assistance, amounting to Php 65,000.00 each. This financial aid aims to improve their socio-economic conditions by providing the necessary resources to engage in and sustain productive livelihoods. The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to supporting FRs in their reintegration and efforts to rebuild their lives.
This significant event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of various agencies, including the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) led by Hon. Datu Pax Ali Mangundadatu, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) headed by Secretary Hon. Benjamin C. Abalos, and DILG Region 12 led by Provincial Director Ms. Margarita H. Baynosa.
The E-CLIP program continues to be a vital component in the government’s strategy to promote peace and development by aiding former violent extremists and their families in transitioning to a peaceful and productive civilian life.
