OZAMIZ CITY – A drug suspect was apprehended in a successful interdiction operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office X (PDEA RO-X) and law enforcement units on March 28, 2025, in Brgy. Labinay, Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental.

The suspect, identified as alias “JABAR,” a 41-year-old resident of Brgy. Maloro, Oroquieta City, was found in possession of approximately 10 grams of shabu with an estimated standard drug price of Php 68,000.00.

The operation was executed by the PDEA RO-X Misamis Occidental Interdiction Unit, in coordination with the PDEA RO-X Misamis Occidental Provincial Office and Ozamiz City Police Station (CPS). Assisting the operatives in securing the evidence were PDEA’s highly trained Narcotic Detection Dogs (NDDs), “King B” and “Clyd,” whose keen detection skills played a crucial role in the success of the bust.

This latest development is part of PDEA’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs, demonstrating its commitment to maintaining a drug-free community. The suspect will face charges for violations under Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PDEA RO-X continues to urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious drug-related activities to help strengthen the fight against illegal drugs in the region.
