NEW BATAAN, DAVAO DE ORO – Law enforcement authorities have intensified their crackdown on illegal drugs, resulting in the arrest of a suspected drug peddler during a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Roque, New Bataan.

The operation, conducted by police officers in coordination with anti-narcotics units, aimed to protect communities from the harmful effects of illegal substances. During the sting, authorities apprehended a 44-year-old laborer who was allegedly caught in possession of a substance believed to be shabu.

Following standard procedures, law enforcers marked and inventoried the confiscated evidence on-site in the presence of witnesses to ensure transparency and adherence to legal protocols. Investigators are now working to determine whether the suspect has links to a larger drug network.

The Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office continues to strengthen its campaign against illegal drugs, collaborating with government agencies and local communities to uphold peace and order. Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities, emphasizing that the fight for a drug-free province requires collective effort and cooperation.
