WAO, Lanao del Sur – A joint law enforcement operation led by the Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG) Special Operations Unit 15 (SOU-15), in collaboration with multiple police and anti-drug agencies, resulted in the arrest of a drug suspect and the seizure of suspected illegal drugs valued at PHP 340,000.00.

PCOL Robert S. Daculan, Provincial Director of the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (LDSPPO), commended the operating personnel from SOU-15, Wao Municipal Police Station (MPS), 3rd Platoon 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Provincial Special Operations Group (PSOG), Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM). The operation was conducted in coordination with the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) and Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU).

The buy-bust operation took place at around 3:05 PM on February 27, 2025, in Purok 7, Barangay East Kili-Kili, Wao, Lanao del Sur. Authorities apprehended the suspect, identified only by the alias “Boboy,” a resident of West Poblacion, Kalilangan, Bukidnon.

Seized from the suspect’s possession were five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, with an estimated total weight of 50 grams. The seized drugs have a standard drug price (SDP) value of PHP 340,000.00. Buy-bust money was also recovered from the suspect.

The inventory and marking of the confiscated evidence were conducted in the presence of a media representative and barangay officials of East Kili-Kili, Wao, Lanao del Sur. The seized substances were transported to the Regional Forensic Unit-BAR for laboratory examination, while the suspect is currently held at the Wao Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and temporary detention.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying anti-illegal drug operations and urged the public to cooperate in reporting drug-related activities to help maintain peace and order in the community.
