SULU, Philippines – Governor Abdusakur M. Tan warmly received Sheik Jasem Alhasan, an Engineer and Project Assessor from the State of Kuwait, along with representatives from the SADCFI Pagadian City, during their visit to the Sulu Provincial Capitol today. The delegation was accompanied by members of the Sulu Ulama Council for Peace and Development (SUCPD), Inc., under the leadership of Ustadz Abdulmuhaimin Abubakar.

Sheik Alhasan extended his gratitude to Governor Tan for the warm reception and praised the hospitality they experienced in the province. He and his delegation commended the beauty and progress of Sulu, noting the province’s strong commitment to supporting students pursuing higher Islamic education abroad. Additionally, they expressed their hopes for future collaborations with the Sulu Provincial Government.

In his response, Governor Tan welcomed the visiting delegation and conveyed his appreciation for their interest in Sulu. He reaffirmed the provincial government’s dedication to supporting the construction of mosques across the province and fostering partnerships that promote cultural and religious development.

The visit comes as part of the delegation’s mission to personally oversee the groundbreaking ceremony for four mosques being donated to Sulu. These places of worship will serve as significant centers for spiritual growth and community gatherings, further strengthening the province’s commitment to preserving its Islamic heritage.

Governor Tan expressed optimism about future collaborations with the Kuwaiti delegation, underscoring the importance of fostering international partnerships that contribute to the socio-cultural and religious development of Sulu.
