South Cotabato marked a year of economic triumph in 2024, with the province attracting ₱2.3 billion in new investments through the registration of 2,666 enterprises. These newly-registered businesses, comprising 2,116 micro, 414 small, 104 medium, and 32 large enterprises, played a significant role in bolstering the local economy.
The influx of new businesses generated 9,582 jobs, providing livelihood opportunities and fueling economic activity across the region. Additionally, the province recorded gross sales of ₱63.3 billion from goods and services, highlighting the resilience and innovation of South Cotabato’s business community.
Business renewals were another bright spot, with 13,835 enterprises renewing their registrations. These businesses contributed significantly to employment, creating an additional 75,101 jobs, further strengthening the economic foundation of the province and supporting countless families.
South Cotabato’s 2024 achievements are a testament to the province’s strategic policies under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr. His administration’s dedication to fostering growth, promoting investments, and creating jobs has set the stage for sustainable development and inclusive economic progress.
The South Cotabato Economic and Investments Promotion Center (SCEIPC) also played a vital role in facilitating these outcomes, ensuring that the province remains a hub for thriving businesses and investment opportunities.
