Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte — A male driver was shot dead on the spot in a shooting incident that occurred at around 10:00 PM on December 10 in Purok 6, Barangay Macaguiling.
The victim was identified as Samad Lumabao, a resident of Cotabato City, according to a report from the Sultan Kudarat Municipal Police Station (MPS).
Initial investigations revealed that Lumabao was riding his motorcycle along the National Highway, traveling from Barangay Gang towards Barangay Macaguiling, when unidentified assailants suddenly opened fire on him.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in different parts of his body, leading to his immediate death.
The suspects fled the scene immediately after the attack and are now the subject of an intensive police manhunt.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the motive behind the crime and to identify the individuals responsible.
Police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and assist in resolving the case.
