ZAMBOANGA CITY — A 37-year-old resident was wounded in a shooting incident in Barangay Capisan, Zamboanga City, late Saturday night, August 21, 2026, following an alleged heated argument over the noise of a motorcycle.

The victim was identified as Jonar Gallego, 37, a resident of the same barangay. Police said Gallego sustained gunshot wounds to his abdomen and left arm and was immediately brought to a medical facility for treatment. He remains under medical care as authorities continue their investigation.
