ZAMBOANGA CITY — A Bao-Bao driver is in critical condition after he was allegedly stabbed and slashed in the neck by a fellow driver during a violent altercation in Lopez Subdivision, Barangay Tugbungan, on Saturday afternoon, July 11, 2026.
According to initial reports from authorities, the victim was reportedly fetching water when he became involved in a heated argument with another driver. The confrontation quickly escalated into violence, with the suspect allegedly attacking the victim using a bladed weapon and inflicting a serious stab wound and deep slash to the neck.
Residents immediately sought assistance as the victim collapsed from his injuries. Emergency responders rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition and is reportedly fighting for his life due to the severity of his wounds.
