GENERAL SANTOS CITY — Authorities seized approximately ₱3.4 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested a female drug suspect during a buy-bust operation conducted Thursday afternoon, May 29, 2026, in Deca Homes, Barangay Calumpang, this city.

The anti-drug operation was carried out at around 4:34 p.m. by joint operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Sultan Kudarat Provincial Office, PDEA SarGen Provincial Office, PDEA Regional Office 12 Regional Special Enforcement Team (RSET), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG).

Arrested during the operation was a suspect identified only by her alias “Mamot,” 44 years old, married, a housewife, and a resident of Barangay Kuden, Talitay, Maguindanao del Sur.

Authorities said the suspect was apprehended after allegedly selling illegal drugs to an undercover operative during the buy-bust operation.

Confiscated from the suspect were approximately 500 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price valued at ₱3,400,000.

Recovered evidence included one sachet containing around 50 grams of suspected shabu believed to be the object of sale, along with nine additional sachets containing approximately 450 grams of suspected shabu considered as the object of possession.

Operatives also recovered several non-drug items believed to be connected to the illegal transaction, including a handbag, paper bags, mobile phones, and the marked buy-bust money used by law enforcement agents.

The arrested suspect is now under the custody of authorities and is set to face charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-illegal drug operations in Region 12 as part of the government’s continuing campaign against narcotics and organized drug activities.
