A violent robbery incident caught on CCTV has left a man critically injured after he was repeatedly stabbed while walking with his girlfriend along 17th Street in Barangay Nazareth, authorities confirmed.

Based on initial police reports and footage obtained from nearby surveillance cameras, the couple was casually walking when they were suddenly approached by a lone suspect wearing a jacket and a cap. The assailant appeared to briefly engage the male victim in conversation before abruptly launching a knife attack.
Within seconds, the situation escalated into a brutal assault as the suspect stabbed the victim multiple times. The shocking footage also captured the victim’s girlfriend pleading for their safety, audibly urging her partner to surrender their belongings.
Witnesses and audio from the CCTV indicated the woman shouting “ibigay na lang!” in a desperate attempt to de-escalate the situation. Despite her pleas, the suspect continued the attack before eventually grabbing the victims’ belongings and fleeing the scene.
The said victim was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition as of this writing.
Authorities have launched an ongoing manhunt to identify and apprehend the suspect, who is now facing possible charges of robbery with frustrated homicide. Investigators are also reviewing additional CCTV footage in the area to track the suspect’s escape route and establish his identity.
The incident has sparked outrage among residents of Barangay Nazareth, with many calling for stronger security measures, increased police visibility, and improved street lighting to prevent similar crimes.
Local officials assured the public that intensified patrols and coordination with law enforcement units are underway to ensure community safety.
