Tubajon, Dinagat Islands — A full-scale search and rescue (SAR) operation is underway in Barangay Navarro, Tubajon, following reports of a light aircraft crash involving RP-C2444, a Cessna 182 Skylane that reportedly originated from Subic.

Authorities confirmed that the incident prompted an immediate emergency response after residents in the area reported hearing a loud, explosion-like sound at approximately 1:00 p.m. on the day of the incident. Shortly after, debris believed to be from the aircraft was discovered, triggering concerns of a crash in the इलाके.

The operation is being spearheaded by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Tubajon, with support from key national agencies, including the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Philippine Coast Guard.

To augment ground efforts, the Provincial Government of Dinagat Islands, under the directive of Governor Nilo P. Demerey Jr., has deployed its Incident Management Team (IMT) along with drone technical personnel. These teams are tasked with conducting aerial reconnaissance, mapping the crash site, and assisting in locating possible survivors or additional wreckage.

Officials emphasized that the response remains focused on search, retrieval, and ensuring the safety of both responders and nearby communities. As of this writing, there has been no official confirmation regarding the number of الأشخاص onboard the aircraft or any casualties.

Authorities have urged the public to remain calm, refrain from entering the affected area to avoid hampering rescue operations, and immediately report any relevant information that may aid in the ongoing search.
