SAN FERNANDO, Bukidnon — A 25-year-old man was rushed to the hospital after he was repeatedly stabbed inside a disco establishment during a fiesta celebration in the early hours of Sunday, April 6, 2026, in Sitio Alas-as, Barangay Little Baguio.

The victim, identified by authorities as alias “Julius,” sustained multiple stab wounds, including injuries to his back and other parts of his body. He was immediately brought to the Bukidnon Provincial Hospital, where he is currently recovering.

According to the San Fernando Municipal Police Station, the suspect was identified as alias “Boboy,” 29, a resident of the same municipality.

Initial police investigation revealed that both the victim and the suspect were together drinking near the disco venue prior to the incident. The stabbing reportedly occurred at around 3:00 a.m., at the height of the barangay’s fiesta celebration, turning what was supposed to be a festive gathering into a scene of violence.

Authorities have yet to determine the exact motive behind the attack, but investigators are looking into a possible altercation between the two men that may have escalated.

Following the incident, the suspect immediately fled the scene and remains at large. Police have launched a manhunt operation to locate and apprehend him.

The San Fernando police are continuing their investigation and are urging anyone with information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts to coordinate with authorities.

Meanwhile, local officials are reminding the public to remain vigilant and exercise restraint, especially during large gatherings and celebrations, to prevent similar incidents from occurring.
