MATI CITY, Davao Oriental — Police operatives arrested a suspected drug dealer known by the alias “Bulaw” during a buy-bust operation conducted early morning in Barangay Central, Mati City, resulting in the seizure of illegal drugs worth ₱340,000.

The operation was jointly carried out by personnel from the Davao Oriental Provincial Police Office (DOPPO), Provincial Mobile Force Company, Regional Intelligence Unit, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and the Mati City Police Station as part of intensified efforts against illegal drugs in the province.

Authorities said the suspect was caught in the act of selling illegal drugs to an undercover operative. Recovered from his possession was a quantity of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱340,000, along with other evidence used in the transaction.

Alias “Bulaw” is now under police custody, while investigators are preparing formal charges against him for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Police officials reiterated their commitment to sustain aggressive anti-drug operations and urged the public to continue cooperating by reporting illegal drug activities in their communities.
