Northern Mindanao, November 26, 2025 — Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) scored a major victory in the fight against illegal drugs, seizing over PhP646,000 worth of suspected shabu and arresting two individuals in coordinated operations across Lanao del Norte and Misamis Oriental.

At around 12:59 PM, authorities from the El Salvador City Police Station, alongside the 2nd PMFC and the PNP Maritime Group, executed a search warrant against alias “Botsoy,” 33, a Top 3 PNP/PDEA Provincial High-Value Individual (HVI) target, at Molugan, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental. The operation led to Botsoy’s arrest and the seizure of nine large sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 65 grams, with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PhP442,000. Authorities also recovered eight live .357 caliber ammunition, assorted drug paraphernalia, a mobile phone, and a firearm holster. Police identified Botsoy as a notorious drug supplier in the area.

Later at around 3:00 PM, law enforcement units including Tubod MPS, PDEU LDN, PIU, SWAT Team of 1st PMFC LDN, and MARPSTA LDN conducted a search warrant in Caniogan, Tubod, Lanao del Norte, arresting alias “Reyrey,” 38, a local farmer and first-time drug offender. Officers recovered two medium-sized heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 10 grams (SDP PhP68,000), a black pouch, and other drug paraphernalia.

In a related operation in the same barangay, authorities also searched the residence of alias “Leo,” 36, another farmer, who was not present during the raid. Police seized 14 sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 20 grams (SDP PhP136,000), a Cal .45 Colt pistol, a steel magazine, and three live ammunition rounds. The suspect remains at large, with follow-up operations underway.

All arrested suspects are now in the custody of El Salvador CPS and Tubod MPS, pending the filing of charges for violations of Sections 11 and 12, Article II of R.A. 9165, or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahan, PRO10 Regional Director, commended the coordinated efforts of the operating units. “The arrest of a high-value target and the recovery of substantial drug evidence reflect the dedication of our units to dismantle drug networks across Northern Mindanao. I commend the operating units for a job well done. Keep up the good work!” he said.

The latest operations underscore PRO10’s ongoing campaign against illegal drugs and its commitment to holding drug syndicates accountable.
