KALILANGAN, Bukidnon — A 42-year-old former soldier, wanted for violating the Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, was apprehended by operatives of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 10 during a police operation in West Poblacion, Kalilangan, Bukidnon, at around 6:45 p.m. on November 21, 2025.

The suspect, identified only as Ricky for security reasons, is a resident of Barangay Dominorog, Talakag, Bukidnon, and is married. He formerly served in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), enlisting in 2018, but was declared AWOL in September 2024.

The arrest was conducted by the 1004th Maneuver Company with support from the 1003rd MC, Kalilangan Municipal Police Station, Talakag MPS, and the Bukidnon Police Intelligence Unit.

The warrant of arrest was issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 8 in Malaybalay City on November 19, 2025, with a recommended bail of ₱200,000. Ricky was immediately brought to the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station for booking, documentation, and proper disposition.

Officials hailed the arrest as a testament to the Philippine National Police’s continued commitment to locating and apprehending wanted individuals. Acting PNP Chief PLTGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. and PRO 10 Regional Director PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano emphasized that the operation underscores ongoing efforts to strengthen law enforcement and public safety in Northern Mindanao.
