GENERAL SANTOS CITY – A midnight anti-drug operation led by the General Santos City Police Office resulted in the arrest of a suspected drug peddler and the confiscation of ₱326,400 worth of suspected shabu, according to the Police Regional Office 12 (PRO-12) under the leadership of Regional Director PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente.
The buy-bust operation was conducted around 12:00 midnight on November 8, 2025, at Silway Darimco, Barangay Dadiangas West, by operatives of Police Station 1 in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 12.
Authorities identified the suspect as a certain “Balong,” 48 years old, single, and a resident of Silway Kasilak, Barangay Dadiangas West, General Santos City.
Confiscated from the suspect were 27 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 48 grams, valued at ₱326,400. Also seized were a ₱1,000 bill used as buy-bust money and a Norinco 1911A1 caliber .45 pistol.
The arrested suspect and the recovered items are now under the custody of Police Station 1 for documentation and the filing of appropriate charges.
PBGEN Ardiente commended the operating units for their continued vigilance in the region’s anti-drug campaign.
“This accomplishment reflects our continued commitment to eradicate illegal drugs and safeguard our communities. We will not relent in our pursuit of a drug-free SOCCSKSARGEN through proactive law enforcement and community cooperation,” Ardiente said.
