COTABATO CITY – Authorities arrested the Top 8 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level of Maguindanao del Norte in a joint police and military operation around 9:30 a.m. on October 20, 2025, near the Biniruan Detachment in Barangay Poblacion 9, Cotabato City.
The suspect was identified as Al-Mansur Anok Mangulamas, also known as Datu Mansor Jr., 29 years old, married, a farmer, and a resident of Sitio Robusta, Barangay Balut, Sultan Mastura, Maguindanao del Norte.
Mangulamas was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for Murder (Criminal Case No. 21-508) issued by Hon. Rainera Pareja Osua, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 28, Midsayap, Cotabato, on January 3, 2022. The case carries no recommended bail.
Following his arrest, the suspect underwent a medical examination at the Municipal Rural Health Unit in Poblacion, Pikit, Cotabato, before being detained at the Pikit Municipal Police Station’s custodial facility.
Two of his companions were also apprehended during the operation. They were identified as Hamin Pasigan Calawan, 37, of Crossing Simuay, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte, and Samsudin Drios Adam, 41, of Sitio Robusta, Barangay Balut, Sultan Mastura, Maguindanao del Norte.
Recovered from Calawan was a Caliber .45 ARMSCOR pistol (SN 1185271) with a magazine and eight rounds of ammunition, while Adam was found in possession of a Caliber .45 COLT MKIV (SN 479251) with a magazine and seven rounds.
Both suspects are now under the custody of Cotabato City Police Station 2 and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
According to Lt. Rochelle Evangelista, spokesperson of the Cotabato City Police Office (CCPO), the suspects were intercepted by authorities while aboard a private vehicle heading out of Cotabato City toward Sultan Kudarat. The operation also resulted in the confiscation of the two pistols and ammunition.
Mangulamas, also known as Berdugo, has been turned over to Pikit, Cotabato to face his pending murder charge.
