BANGA, South Cotabato — Authorities arrested an alleged drug pusher in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Friday afternoon, September 19, 2025, in Purok Itompalak, Barangay Kusan.
The suspect, identified only by his alias “Jason,” 36, single, unemployed, and a resident of Barangay Libertad, Surallah, South Cotabato, was caught in possession of suspected shabu worth an estimated ₱374,000.
Confiscated during the operation were two heat-sealed plastic sachets containing around 55 grams of shabu, an improvised all-weather glass tooter with drug residue, and marked money used in the transaction.
PDEA-12 Regional Director Benjamin C. Recites III confirmed that charges will be filed against the suspect for violations of Sections 5, 11, and 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The arrested individual is now under PDEA custody pending the filing of appropriate cases.
