MAASIM, Sarangani Province — The 105th Infantry (SAIFULLAH) Battalion of the Philippine Army inaugurated a new patrol base in Barangay Nomoh, Maasim, and spearheaded a ceremonial handover of firearms on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, marking a significant step in strengthening peace and security in the area.
Led by Lieutenant Colonel Erikzen C. Dacoco, the ceremony began with the ribbon-cutting of the Nomoh Patrol Base, followed by the turnover of rifles and ammunition to support security operations. The event gathered military and police personnel, local government officials, and community members, underscoring a shared commitment to peace and order.
Captain Abdulnasser O. Israel, Company Commander of Delta (DRAGON) Company, said the new patrol base will play a vital role in preserving stability. “This facility ensures faster response and stronger presence in the community, which is crucial for maintaining peace and order,” he noted.
Maasim Mayor Zyrex C. Pacquiao lauded the initiative, stressing the importance of strong collaboration between the local government unit (LGU) and the armed forces. “Security is our top priority. Rest assured that the LGU will be your strongest partner. We are incredibly thankful for this new base and the troops who will be stationed here,” the mayor said.
For his part, LTC Dacoco reiterated the battalion’s dedication to the safety of Maasim residents. “The 105th Infantry Battalion is fully committed to the security of Maasim. This patrol base will serve as a crucial asset, providing immediate assistance and acting as the first responder for residents in this barangay. Our troops are available 24/7 to help,” he said.
Following the ceremony, LTC Dacoco also conducted an information dissemination session for the CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA) personnel stationed at the new base to ensure readiness and alignment in security operations.
The establishment of the Nomoh Patrol Base and the turnover of firearms represent a new milestone in the partnership between the Philippine Army, the LGU of Maasim, and the local community—strengthening their collective mission of peace, progress, and lasting stability in Sarangani Province.
