DAVAO CITY — Grounded on the principles of D.A.V.A.O. — Discipline, Action, Virtue, Accountability, and Order, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) has officially launched the Oplan Eye in the Sky Patrol, a pioneering initiative that integrates drone technology into law enforcement operations.

The program, spearheaded by PCOL Muarip, marks a significant step in modern policing as it enhances patrol visibility, strengthens situational awareness, and provides law enforcers with a strategic edge in preventing crimes, responding to emergencies, and securing communities more effectively.

During the launch, key officials and unit heads from various divisions participated in the event, while select personnel underwent specialized training to maximize drone deployment for public safety operations.

“This initiative reflects our commitment to innovation and operational excellence,” said PCOL Muarip. “Through the Eye in the Sky Patrol, we are not just expanding our operational reach — we are heightening our capacity to safeguard lives and maintain peace across the city.”

PBGEN Arguelles lauded the collaborative effort, stressing the importance of adapting to modern policing needs. “With drone technology, our police force can act with greater precision, efficiency, and professionalism in protecting the public,” he emphasized.

The Oplan Eye in the Sky Patrol is envisioned as more than just a technological upgrade—it represents a promise of safety, vigilance, and proactive service. By harnessing innovation, DCPO aims to foster a safer and more resilient community, where peace and order remain a shared priority.
