ESPERANZA, Sultan Kudarat (July 9, 2025) — Authorities arrested two individuals during a successful anti-drug operation in Barangay Sagasa, Esperanza, early Tuesday morning, July 8, 2025.

In a joint buy-bust operation, personnel from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Provincial Intelligence Unit, Esperanza Municipal Police Station, 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Sultan Kudarat apprehended two alleged street-level drug personalities.

The suspects, identified only by their aliases “Nilo,” 49, a resident of Barangay Dukay, Esperanza, and “Kris,” 32, of Barangay New Pangasinan, Isulan, were both reportedly jobless.

Confiscated during the operation were four heat-sealed sachets containing suspected shabu, estimated to be worth ₱68,000 based on the standard drug price. Also seized were a genuine ₱1,000 bill used as marked money, assorted identification cards, and an Android cellphone.

The arrested individuals and the recovered items are now in the custody of the Esperanza Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and the filing of charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to intensify anti-drug operations and remove illegal drugs from communities across Sultan Kudarat.
