KORONADAL CITY – A live-in couple was arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Koronadal City Police in Purok Quezon, Barangay Rotonda, around 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
The suspects, identified only by their aliases “Manny,” 42, a resident of Barangay Kenram, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat; and “Joy,” 45, of Barangay Rotonda, Koronadal City, were caught in possession of two sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately three grams, with an estimated street value of ₱20,400. Also recovered was the ₱500 marked buy-bust money.
Authorities said the couple is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, a third suspect known only as “Lablab” managed to evade arrest and is currently the subject of a manhunt.
Police continue to intensify anti-illegal drug operations in the region as part of their ongoing campaign to ensure community safety.
