DAVAO DE ORO — The Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office has intensified its campaign against illegal drugs, resulting in three successful anti-drug operations in the towns of Montevista, Maco, and Monkayo.

In Montevista, police arrested a drug suspect during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Linoan. Operatives from the Montevista Municipal Police Station and the 1st Davao de Oro Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted the sting operation, recovering one sachet of suspected shabu used as the buy-bust item, along with three additional sachets of suspected shabu and marked money. The operation was witnessed by barangay officials and representatives from the Department of Justice. The suspect and seized items are now in police custody pending appropriate legal action under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, in Maco, a separate operation led to the arrest of another suspect after police implemented a search warrant in Barangay Concepcion. The coordinated operation involved the Maco Municipal Police Station, the Regional Intelligence Unit, the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit. Several sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and other non-drug items were confiscated. The suspect is currently detained, and all recovered evidence remains under police custody for documentation and disposition.

In Monkayo, authorities apprehended a high-value drug suspect during the execution of a search warrant in Barangay Union. The operation was carried out by the Monkayo Municipal Police Station with support from the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit, PDEU, PIU, and the 1st Davao de Oro Provincial Mobile Force Company. Confiscated from the suspect’s residence were multiple sachets of suspected shabu and an improvised glass tooter.

All three operations underscore the Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office’s strong commitment to eradicating illegal drug activities and maintaining peace and order throughout the province.

Police officials urged the public to remain vigilant and continue supporting the authorities’ anti-drug campaign to protect communities from the dangers of illegal drugs.
