DAVAO CITY — The Davao City Police Office (DCPO), under the leadership of Acting City Director Police Colonel Hansel M. Marantan, has reported a series of successful law enforcement operations across the city, resulting in the arrest of 68 individuals from June 22 to June 28, 2025.

In line with the Philippine National Police’s Four Focused Directives, the weeklong operations targeted illegal drugs, illegal gambling, wanted persons, and loose firearms, reflecting DCPO’s intensified efforts to maintain peace and order in the city.

A total of 21 anti-drug operations led to the arrest of 25 drug suspects. Authorities seized 72.0410 grams of shabu valued at ₱489,878.80 and 12.9 grams of marijuana with a street value of ₱1,548.

Simultaneously, 11 anti-illegal gambling operations were conducted, resulting in the arrest of 11 individuals. Police confiscated a total of ₱2,895 in bet money, and 11 criminal cases were filed against the suspects.

In its campaign against fugitives, the DCPO launched 30 operations which led to the capture of 30 wanted persons, including six identified as most wanted.

Meanwhile, the crackdown on loose firearms saw the conduct of five operations, yielding 10 illegal firearms and the arrest of two suspects. Four firearms were also voluntarily turned in under the Oplan Katok program, and three related cases were filed in court.

“These achievements demonstrate our unrelenting commitment to rid the city of illegal activities while upholding human rights and strictly adhering to police operational procedures,” said PCOL Marantan in a statement.

The DCPO also acknowledged the vital role of barangay officials, community members, and the city’s local government unit in the success of these operations.

“As we move forward, we call on the continued support and cooperation of our communities. Together, we can build a safer and more secure Davao City,” the statement added.

The Davao City Police Office vowed to sustain its operations and remain vigilant in ensuring the safety and well-being of its constituents.
