Isulan, Sultan Kudarat – June 28, 2025 — Authorities in Sultan Kudarat scored another win in the intensified anti-drug campaign of the Philippine National Police, following the arrest of a drug suspect and the seizure of ₱340,000 worth of suspected shabu and an illegal firearm in a police operation in Isulan town.

The operation was carried out by joint elements of the Isulan Municipal Police Station and the 1st Sultan Kudarat Provincial Mobile Force Company under the Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office. Law enforcers served a search warrant against a suspect known by the alias “Nonot,” a resident of Kalawag 1, Isulan.

During the search, police recovered ten sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 50 grams with an estimated street value of ₱340,000 based on the National Standard Drug Price. Also confiscated were assorted drug paraphernalia and a homemade bolt-open 12-gauge pistol.

The suspect was immediately taken into custody and, along with the seized evidence, brought to the Isulan Municipal Police Station for proper documentation. Authorities are now preparing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Police Brigadier General Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 12, lauded the operatives for the successful operation and emphasized the importance of sustained police actions in the region’s anti-crime campaign.

“This accomplishment highlights the commitment of our personnel in curbing the spread of illegal drugs and unlicensed firearms in our communities. The recovered shabu and firearm, if not intercepted, could have contributed to criminal activities and posed serious risks to public safety,” PBGEN Ardiente said. “PRO 12 remains resolute in its aggressive efforts to protect our people from these threats.”

Authorities urge the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activities as the campaign against illegal drugs and firearms continues across SOCCSKSARGEN.
