Isulan, Sultan Kudarat – February 18, 2025 – Law enforcement operatives from the Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office (SKPPO) successfully conducted a search warrant operation at Purok 3 Baras, Barangay Bual, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, resulting in the confiscation of illegal drugs and an unlicensed firearm.
The operation, carried out as part of preventive security measures against criminal activities, was aimed at enforcing Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
Authorities recovered the following items from the operation:
- Five sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 14 grams, with an estimated Standard Drug Price of P95,200.00;
- One unit of an improvised short firearm (caliber .22 single bolt open);
- Four pieces of caliber .22 ammunition.
The operation also led to the arrest of two individuals identified as alias “Andok,” 25 years old, married, a farmer, and classified as a High-Value Individual (HVI), and alias “Farhan,” 23 years old, married, also a farmer. Both are residents of the area.
The apprehended individuals, along with the confiscated evidence, were brought to the Isulan Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and further legal proceedings.
Provincial Director PCOL Bernard L. Lao commended the operatives for their dedication in curbing illegal drug activities and enforcing the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Gun Ban. He reaffirmed the commitment of the SKPPO in maintaining peace and order through intensified operations against criminal elements.
