General Santos City – A series of coordinated search operations led to the arrest of six individuals and the confiscation of illegal drugs and a high-powered firearm in Barangay Fatima, General Santos City on the evening of June 19, 2025.
At around 6:22 PM, police operatives from the General Santos City Police Office – Police Station 7, together with personnel from the City Mobile Force Company (CMFC-Gensan), Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12 (RMFB 12), MARPSTA-Gensan, and the Special Task Team of the Regional Intelligence Division 12 (STT RID12), served a search warrant that resulted in the arrest of a 57-year-old suspect identified only as alias “Nacer.”
Authorities recovered six medium-sized sachets of suspected shabu weighing a total of 32.6 grams with an estimated street value of PHP 280,360. Also seized were drug paraphernalia including two lighters, a syringe, and two pieces of crumpled foil—all found inside a black coin purse. Alias Nacer is now facing charges for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Later that evening, at around 9:47 PM, four more male suspects were apprehended in a separate search operation carried out by Police Station 7, in coordination with RMFB12, CMFC-GSCPO, CDEU-GSCPO, and MARPSTA-Gensan.
The suspects, identified only by their aliases—“Juns” (38), “Reygie” (40), “Ray” (40), and “Richman” (39)—were caught in possession of four sachets of suspected shabu weighing 10.5 grams valued at approximately PHP 71,400, and a sachet of suspected marijuana weighing 1.5 grams worth PHP 450.
Significantly, authorities also recovered an unregistered Uzi submachine gun, one magazine loaded with six bullets, and eight reloaded 9mm ammunition from the suspects.
The four men will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 and Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Police have reiterated their continued commitment to intensify anti-drug and anti-criminality operations in the city.
