Talitay, Maguindanao del Norte — A 37-year-old man with an outstanding warrant of arrest was successfully apprehended in Barangay Gadungan, Talitay, on the afternoon of April 24, 2025.

The intelligence-driven operation, conducted at around 3:05 PM, was led by personnel from the Talitay Municipal Police Station in coordination with the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Maguindanao del Norte Police Provincial Office.

Authorities confirmed that the suspect was wanted for violation of Article II, Section 11 of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. His arrest was based on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 3 of the 11th Judicial Region in Nabunturan, Davao de Oro, on April 25, 2022, with a recommended bail set at PHP 200,000.

PBGEN Romeo J. Macapaz, Regional Director of the Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, lauded the swift and coordinated effort of the operating teams. “This arrest is a testament to our strong intelligence network and operational readiness. We will continue to pursue individuals who threaten the safety and well-being of our communities,” he said.

The operation aligns with the national directives of Philippine National Police Chief PGEN Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, who has emphasized a commitment to enhancing public safety and strengthening the fight against illegal drugs and other criminal activities. Under his leadership, the PNP continues to intensify its efforts to protect citizens and ensure peace and order in communities across the country.
