Talitay, Maguindanao del Norte – Police, in coordination with barangay officials, dismantled a drug den in Sitio Boundary, Barangay Gadungan, on the night of February 8, 2025. The operation, conducted at approximately 8:50 PM, was part of ongoing intensified efforts to combat illegal drugs in the province.
The raid was led by PCPT Charlie A. Mahait, along with Hon. Sandatu Watamama. The primary target, known by the alias “Boy,” along with three unidentified accomplices, managed to flee before authorities arrived at the scene.
Recovered from the drug den were suspected shabu valued at Php 4,760, drug paraphernalia, and multiple empty sachets, indicating previous transactions or use.
PCOL Eleuterio M. Ricardo Jr., Officer-in-Charge, commended the team’s efforts, emphasizing the significance of the operation. “This operation sends a strong message that we will not tolerate illegal drug activities in our communities. We will continue our relentless efforts to put an end to this menace,” he stated.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to eradicating illegal drugs and urged the public to remain vigilant by reporting suspicious activities in their areas. A case for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, is currently being prepared, while the search for the suspects continues.
The police assured that more operations will be conducted to dismantle drug networks and ensure safer communities for residents.
