LALA, Lanao del Norte – A 19-year-old man was arrested during an anti-illegal drug operation conducted by law enforcement authorities in Lala, Lanao del Norte, on June 8, resulting in the seizure of more than 25 grams of suspected shabu valued at over ₱170,000.

The suspect, identified only by his alias “Boy,” is a resident of Purok 5, Barangay Pansor, Salvador, Lanao del Norte.
According to police reports, the operation was carried out in Purok 6, Pendulonan, Lala, through a coordinated buy-bust operation led by the Lala Municipal Police Station. The operation was supported by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, the Regional Drug Enforcement Team of Lanao del Norte, and the Regional Intelligence Division 10, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Authorities said the suspect was apprehended after allegedly selling illegal drugs to an undercover operative.
Confiscated during the operation were a sachet of suspected shabu used as the buy-bust item and a large plastic cellophane containing additional quantities of the suspected illegal substance.
Police disclosed that the total weight of the seized suspected shabu exceeded 25 grams, with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of more than ₱170,000.
Operatives also recovered the marked money used in the transaction, further strengthening the evidence against the suspect.
The arrested individual is currently under the custody of the Lala Municipal Police Station while authorities prepare the filing of appropriate charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The successful operation forms part of the continuing anti-illegal drug campaign of law enforcement agencies in Lanao del Norte aimed at dismantling local drug networks and preventing the proliferation of dangerous drugs in communities.
Police officials reiterated their commitment to intensify intelligence-driven operations and encouraged the public to cooperate by reporting suspicious drug-related activities in their respective areas as part of the collective effort to combat illegal drugs and maintain peace and order.
