ALAMADA, Cotabato — A high-value drug suspect was arrested and more than ₱333,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a coordinated anti-illegal drug operation conducted by multiple law enforcement units in Barangay Bao on April 30, 2026.

The operation, led by the Alamada Municipal Police Station, stemmed from the implementation of a search warrant against a 47-year-old suspect identified only by the alias “Rodolfo,” a resident of the area. Authorities classified the suspect as a High-Value Individual (HVI) linked to illegal drug activities in the locality.
Operatives from the Cotabato Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Regional Intelligence Division 12, Police Intelligence Unit, 2nd Cotabato Provincial Mobile Force Company, 1203rd Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12, and the 33rd Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army participated in the operation, with prior coordination from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
During the search, authorities recovered five heat-sealed sachets containing approximately 49 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated National Standard Drug Price of ₱333,200. The seized illegal substances are set to be turned over to the Cotabato Provincial Forensic Unit in Kidapawan City for laboratory examination to confirm their composition and exact weight.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Alamada Municipal Police Station and is facing charges for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which penalizes the possession of illegal drugs.
Police Regional Office 12 Director PBGen. Arnold P. Ardiente underscored the importance of the successful operation, noting that it reflects sustained inter-agency collaboration in the government’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs. He said authorities will continue to strengthen coordination and enforcement efforts to ensure individuals involved in the drug trade are held accountable and to safeguard communities from the dangers posed by illegal substances.
The arrest marks another significant development in the ongoing anti-drug campaign in Cotabato, as law enforcement agencies maintain pressure on high-value targets and drug networks operating in the region.
