A 24-year-old man was shot dead in a brazen midday attack in Barangay Dados, Datu Odin Sinsuat on Tuesday, April 15, authorities confirmed.

The fatal shooting occurred at around 12:00 noon in Sitio Katalanga, sending alarm among residents in the area. The victim was identified by Philippine National Police – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) spokesperson Captain Steffi Salanguit as Mohaimin Mangolamas Kamoguia, a resident of Poblacion Dalican in the same municipality.
Initial police reports revealed that Kamoguia was riding his motorcycle en route to Barangay Dados when he was suddenly ambushed by still unidentified assailants. The suspects allegedly opened fire using a caliber .45 pistol, hitting the victim multiple times.
Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Kamoguia later succumbed to his gunshot wounds.
Authorities have yet to determine the motive behind the killing, and the identities of the perpetrators remain unknown as of this writing. The Philippine National Police has launched an ongoing investigation and is pursuing leads to identify and apprehend those responsible.
Police are also urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward as part of efforts to bring justice to the victim and ensure accountability.
