Cagayan de Oro City / Gingoog City — A total of four individuals were arrested in separate anti-drug operations conducted in Northern Mindanao, resulting in the confiscation of more than ₱120,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs, authorities reported.

In Gingoog City, a 25-year-old suspect identified only by the alias “Dave” was apprehended during a buy-bust operation in Purok 1, Barangay 20 at around 2:40 p.m. on March 31, 2026.
Operatives from the Gingoog City Police Station, in coordination with the 1001st Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 and the 1st Misamis Oriental Provincial Mobile Force Company, carried out the operation with support from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Authorities recovered approximately 12.23 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱83,164, along with 1.25 grams of suspected marijuana valued at ₱150. Also seized were one sachet used as a buy-bust item, six additional sachets of suspected shabu, a pack of dried marijuana leaves, a ₱500 marked bill, and a plastic container.
Meanwhile, in Cagayan de Oro City, three more drug suspects were arrested in a separate buy-bust operation conducted in Summer Ville, Barangay Lumbia at around 8:13 p.m. on March 30, 2026.
The suspects, identified only by their aliases “Ranel,” 39; “Notnot,” 29; and “Meroy,” 35, are residents of Cagayan de Oro City and nearby Bukidnon province.
The operation was led by personnel of Police Station 8 under the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office, in collaboration with the City Mobile Force Company and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 10.
Seized from the trio were around 5.5 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of ₱37,400. Confiscated items included one sachet used in the buy-bust, four additional sachets of suspected shabu, a glass container, and a ₱500 marked bill.
All four suspects are now under police custody and are set to face charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Authorities reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-illegal drug operations across Northern Mindanao, emphasizing the importance of sustained coordination among law enforcement units to curb the proliferation of illegal substances in local communities.
