AGUSAN DEL SUR, Philippines — Two suspects listed among the region’s most wanted persons were arrested in separate police operations in Agusan del Sur over the weekend, authorities reported, in what officials described as a significant step in the continuing campaign against fugitives facing serious criminal charges.

The operations were carried out by joint elements of the Regional Mobile Force and local police units under the Police Regional Office in the Caraga Region, formally known as Police Regional Office 13, with tactical support from specialized police teams.
Arrest of No. 8 regional most wanted
On February 21, 2026, law enforcement units conducted a joint operation in Barangay Poblacion, Trento, which led to the arrest of a suspect identified by authorities as alias “Jerome,” listed as the No. 8 Regional Level Most Wanted Person of PRO13 for the first quarter of calendar year 2026.
The arrest was carried out by personnel from the 1303rd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 13, supported by members of 1SAB and RDB units, along with other Philippine National Police (PNP) operatives.
Authorities served a warrant of arrest against the suspect for murder under Criminal Case No. 26-2154 dated February 10, 2026, issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 55 of the 10th Judicial Region based in Trento, Agusan del Sur.
Following the operation, the arrested individual was turned over to the Trento Municipal Police Station under the Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office for proper documentation and further legal proceedings.
Arrest of No. 6 regional most wanted
Two days later, on February 23, another coordinated operation resulted in the arrest of alias “Rosebert,” listed as the No. 6 Regional Level Most Wanted Person of PRO13 for the same period.
The suspect was apprehended in Barangay Panagangan, La Paz, Agusan del Sur, through a joint effort involving personnel from 1SAB and RDB who provided tactical support to the 1303rd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 13 and other participating PNP units.
Police said the operation was implemented by virtue of a warrant of arrest for murder under Criminal Case No. 13235-2026 dated January 13, 2026. The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 6 of the 10th Judicial Region in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.
After the arrest, the suspect was placed under the custody of the La Paz Municipal Police Station, also under the Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office, for documentation and proper disposition.

Police officials said the successful arrests underscore the effectiveness of coordinated operations among different police units in tracking down fugitives facing serious criminal charges.
Authorities emphasized that the joint operations demonstrate the continued commitment of the Philippine National Police to enforcing the law, ensuring accountability, and bringing individuals on the most wanted list before the courts.
