PRO 13 Director PBGen Rolindo M. Suguilon said the operations were part of the police region’s continuing campaign against illegal drugs and were carried out by police units in different areas of Caraga in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 13 (PDEA 13).

The arrested individuals and the confiscated evidence have been placed under the custody of the respective operating police units for documentation, proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges.

Authorities said the suspects are facing possible charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, subject to the appropriate legal proceedings.

PRO 13 vows sustained anti-drug campaign

Suguilon commended the police units involved in the operations and said the results demonstrate PRO 13’s continuing commitment to suppress the illegal drug trade in the region.

“I commend our operating units for these successful operations which emphasizes our commitment to the fight against illegal drugs. We will continue to pursue drug personalities while ensuring that every operation respects the law and human rights,” Suguilon said.

The police regional office said its anti-drug campaign will continue through coordinated operations with other law enforcement agencies.
