TANTANGAN, South Cotabato — An online shopping delivery hub in Tantangan is facing public backlash after a netizen raised serious concerns over the alleged poor handling and mismanagement of parcels, describing the situation as chaotic and unsanitary.

In a social media post that quickly gained attention, the complainant accused the Shopee Express (SPX Express) Tantangan Hub of leaving parcels scattered outside the warehouse, exposed to heat and dirt, and treated “like garbage.” According to the post, the lack of organization has made it difficult for staff to locate packages, resulting in long delays and frustration among customers who come to pick up their orders.

Beyond the clutter, the netizen also reported a missing parcel and the receipt of an item that was never ordered and did not appear in the Shopee app transaction history, raising concerns over possible mishandling or serious lapses in verification procedures.

The complainant further criticized what was described as poor coordination, inadequate supervision, and the absence of a clear system for sorting and storing parcels. These shortcomings, the post said, have affected not just one customer but many others who rely on the hub for timely and secure delivery of their orders.

Calling “secure handling” a basic expectation, the netizen urged management to invest in a larger warehouse, improve parcel organization, and provide better training for staff. The post also took issue with what was reportedly described as a “transition” period explanation from the hub, saying the problem has persisted for nearly a month without proper communication to customers.

As a warning to the public, the complainant advised customers planning to pick up their parcels at the hub to bring “a lot of patience,” citing the disorder and the time-consuming process of locating packages amid the clutter.

The Shopee Express Tantangan Hub, located in Barangay Poblacion, Tantangan, South Cotabato, continues to draw negative reactions online as customers await an official response and concrete action from the company to address the complaints.
