EL SALVADOR CITY, Misamis Oriental — Large parts of Mindanao will experience another wet and stormy day as the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) continues to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains, and thunderstorms across the island, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced in its 5:00 AM weather bulletin on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

PAGASA warned that moderate to at times heavy rainfall may trigger flash floods and landslides, especially in flood-prone and mountainous areas. Light to moderate winds from the north to northwest will prevail, keeping coastal waters slight to moderate at 0.6 to 1.8 meters.

ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA

Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Isabela City will have persistent cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms throughout the day and night.
Temperatures will range from:

  • Zamboanga City: 25–33°C (day), 25–32°C (night)
  • Zamboanga del Norte: 25–30°C (day), 25–29°C (night)
  • Zamboanga del Sur: 23–32°C (day), 23–31°C (night)
  • Zamboanga Sibugay: 23–30°C (day), 23–29°C (night)
  • Isabela City: 22–30°C (day), 22–29°C (night)

NORTHERN MINDANAO

Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental can expect overcast skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms the entire forecast period.
Temperatures will range from:

  • Bukidnon: 20–32°C (day), 20–31°C (night)
  • Camiguin: 22–26°C (day), 22–25°C (night)
  • Lanao del Norte: 24–30°C (day), 24–29°C (night)
  • Misamis Occidental: 24–30°C (day), 24–29°C (night)
  • Misamis Oriental: 25–32°C (day), 25–31°C (night)

DAVAO REGION

Metro Davao, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao Occidental will likewise experience continuous rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

SOCCSKSARGEN

North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani will continue seeing cloudy skies with intermittent thunderstorms, bringing cooler temperatures in several areas.

  • North Cotabato: 22–28°C (day), 22–27°C (night)
  • South Cotabato: 24–33°C (day), 24–32°C (night)
  • Sultan Kudarat: 22–31°C (day), 22–30°C (night)
  • Sarangani: 24–33°C (day), 24–32°C (night)

CARAGA REGION

Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Dinagat Islands will have unsettled weather with thunderstorms expected throughout the day.

  • Agusan del Sur: 23–30°C (day), 23–29°C (night)
  • Surigao del Norte: 24–30°C (day), 24–29°C (night)

BARMM

Widespread rains and thunderstorms will persist across Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Maguindanao del Norte, and Maguindanao del Sur.

Residents living near waterways, steep slopes, and landslide-prone zones are urged to stay alert and monitor local disaster officials for possible evacuation notices. Fisherfolk and small seacraft operators are also advised to take caution amid potentially rough passages especially during thunderstorms.
