POLMOLOK, SOUTH COTABATO — In a decisive show of unity and resilience, Barangay Lapu formally declared the Local Terrorist Group (LTG) as persona non grata, signaling the community’s firm stance against violence and intimidation under the “PROTECTING OUR HOME” initiative led by the 38th Infantry “We Clear” Battalion.
The declaration, backed by local officials and law enforcement, sends a clear and powerful message: Brgy. Lapu will not yield to fear.
To reinforce this commitment to peace, the 38th Infantry Battalion joined youth leaders from Tupi National High School’s ABM Elite Tycoons, the Bamboo Environment Society Together (BEST), Friends Rescued (FR), and PYDO–South Cotabato in a symbolic bamboo and fruit-bearing tree planting activity. The gesture represents the community’s shared resolve to nurture resilience, unity, and long-term stability.
Local government leaders from Barangay Lapu, together with personnel from the Polomolok Municipal Police Station, also expressed their full support—emphasizing that true security is achieved when the entire community stands shoulder to shoulder.
“Security begins with collective resolve… We are clearing the ground of fear so that hope may grow,” said LTC Erwin E. Felongco, Commanding Officer of the 38IB, underscoring the importance of community-led peace efforts.
With this bold declaration and unified action, Brgy. Lapu steps forward safer, stronger, and more determined than ever to protect its people and secure a peaceful future.
