LANAO DEL SUR — In a decisive move under the Philippine National Police’s intensified anti-drug campaign, joint operatives of the Police Regional Office–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) arrested two alleged drug peddlers during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Beta, Tubaran, on November 18, 2025.

The suspects, known only by their aliases “Paks” and “Bakbak,” were taken into custody after authorities recovered suspected shabu valued at ₱421,600. Both individuals, reportedly of legal age, were immediately turned over to the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office along with the seized contraband for documentation and the filing of appropriate charges.

PRO-BAR Regional Director PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman lauded the swift and coordinated work of the operating units, noting that such operations demonstrate the police force’s continued determination to dismantle drug networks in the region.

“This successful arrest reflects our commitment to protecting communities from the threats of illegal drugs,” De Guzman said, urging residents to remain vigilant and actively support law enforcement efforts against criminality.

Authorities reaffirmed that anti-drug operations across the Bangsamoro region will continue as part of the nationwide campaign to curb illegal substances and maintain public safety.
