CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — The intensified anti-drug campaign of the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) resulted in the confiscation of around ₱680,000 worth of suspected shabu during a search operation in Tubod, Lanao del Norte on November 3, 2025.
Personnel from the Tubod Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence Unit, SWAT Team of the 1st PMFC LDN, and the MARPSTA LDN, implemented a search warrant against a certain alias “Eddie,” identified as a High-Value Individual and resident of Purok 4 RCIS, Poblacion, Tubod. The operation was conducted with assistance from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
However, the suspect managed to evade arrest by escaping through adjacent semi-detached houses that provided multiple exit routes. Pursuit operations were immediately launched but the suspect remains at large.
Authorities recovered 13 medium-sized heat-sealed plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, with an estimated weight of 100 grams and a standard drug price of ₱680,000. Also seized were various drug paraphernalia.
Police said charges for violation of Sections 11 and 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for filing against the suspect. The confiscated evidence has been turned over to the Lanao del Norte Provincial Forensic Unit for examination.
PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano, Acting Regional Director of PRO10, lauded the operating units for the successful execution of the operation and reiterated the police’s firm stance against illegal drugs.
“Any persons involved will not escape the long arm of the law. PRO10 remains steadfast in combating illegal drugs and ensuring the safety and protection of Northern Mindanao communities from the harmful drug trade,” Abrahano said.
Authorities vowed to continue their operations to track down the suspect and dismantle drug networks operating in the region.
