PIGCAWAYAN, Cotabato — Police Regional Office 12 (PRO-12) reaffirmed its strong stance against illegal drugs following the arrest of a suspected drug personality in a successful buy-bust operation conducted on October 31, 2025, in Barangay Poblacion 3, Pigcawayan, Cotabato.
The joint operation was carried out by the Pigcawayan Municipal Police Station and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit under the Cotabato Police Provincial Office, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 12.
Authorities identified the suspect as alias “Tuweng”, 37, a resident of Barangay Upper Baguer, Pigcawayan. Seized from his possession were nine sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 38 grams, with an estimated value of ₱258,400, along with the ₱1,000 marked money used in the transaction.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Pigcawayan Municipal Police Station for documentation and filing of appropriate charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police Brigadier General Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of PRO-12, lauded the operatives for their vigilance and sustained campaign against illegal drugs.
“Our commitment to eradicate illegal drugs remains steadfast. I commend our personnel for their continued efforts to rid our communities of drug traffickers and safeguard the lives of our people,” PBGEN Ardiente said.
