October 18, 2025 | DOST-PAGASA Mindanao (MINPRSD) Weather Update
EL SALVADOR CITY, MISAMIS ORIENTAL — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has reported that as of 3:00 a.m. today, the center of Tropical Storm “Ramil” was located approximately 315 kilometers east of Juban, Sorsogon (13.1°N, 126.9°E). The storm continues to move westward at 20 kilometers per hour, packing maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h.
While “Ramil” is affecting parts of Luzon and the Visayas, Mindanao will generally experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by localized weather systems. PAGASA warns residents to stay alert for possible flash floods or landslides, especially in low-lying or mountainous areas, as thunderstorms may bring intense rainfall in short periods.
Light to moderate winds from the southwest will prevail across the region, with coastal waters expected to be slight to moderate, ranging from 0.6 to 1.5 meters in wave height.
