CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — The Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) successfully arrested three suspected drug personalities and confiscated an estimated ₱1,020,000 worth of suspected shabu in two separate anti-drug operations conducted in Cagayan de Oro City on October 15 and 16, 2025.

At around 8:30 p.m. on October 15, operatives from Team 1 RPDEU10, in coordination with PDEG SOU10 and RIU10, carried out a buy-bust operation at Zone 7, Mahayahay, Bayabas, Cagayan de Oro City. The operation led to the arrest of two suspects identified only by their aliases “Pipe,” a 42-year-old businessman, and “Nori,” a 51-year-old businesswoman, both residents of Mabasa, Balulang, Cagayan de Oro City.

Authorities confiscated eight sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 90 grams, with a standard drug price of ₱612,000. Also seized were a plastic cellophane and cigarette pack used as containers, a mobile phone, a Toyota Wigo car, and two ₱1,000 bills used as buy-bust money.

In another operation at around 1:41 a.m. on October 16, personnel from the SDET of Police Station 9 (COCPO), together with COCPO-CMFC personnel, implemented Search Warrant No. SWA-100225-856 issued by RTC Branch 17, 10th Judicial Region, at Tambo, Barangay Macasandig, Cagayan de Oro City.

The operation resulted in the arrest of alias “Yan Gals,” a 30-year-old driver identified as a High-Value Individual (HVI). Confiscated from his residence were 40 sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 60 grams, valued at ₱408,000, along with various drug paraphernalia.

All arrested suspects are currently under the custody of COCPO Police Stations 4 and 9 for proper disposition. Charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against them.

PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano, Acting Regional Director of PRO10, lauded the operating units for their steadfast efforts against illegal drugs.

“I commend the operating units for the successful operations, resulting in the apprehension of the suspects and the seizures of illegal drugs. PRO10 will continue to respond decisively against all forms of illegal drug activities to ensure the safety and well-being of Northern Mindanao,” Abrahano said.

He emphasized that PRO10 remains resolute in its anti-drug campaign and will continue to strengthen its collaboration with other law enforcement agencies to dismantle drug distribution networks in the region.
