GENERAL SANTOS CITY — A coordinated police operation in Barangay Fatima led to the arrest of a suspected drug personality and the confiscation of illegal drugs and a firearm early Saturday morning, October 25, 2025.

At around 5:22 a.m., joint operatives from Police Station 7, the Special Weapons and Tactics/City Mobile Force Company (SWAT/CMFC) of the General Santos City Police Office, and the 1201st Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12 implemented a search warrant for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act against a suspect identified only as alias “Pearl,” 35, married, and a resident of Barangay Fatima.

The operation resulted in the arrest of the suspect and the seizure of a .45 caliber pistol with a steel magazine loaded with seven live rounds. Authorities also discovered several containers of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱170,680.00, along with drug paraphernalia, including two lighters (one fitted with a syringe needle), an improvised tooter, and a black T-shirt reportedly used to conceal the illegal items.

All confiscated evidence was properly documented in the presence of the suspect and insulating witnesses to ensure compliance with legal procedures. The arrested individual and seized items were brought to Police Station 7 for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges.

Police Regional Office 12 Regional Director PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente lauded the operating units for their swift and coordinated action, emphasizing the PNP’s unwavering campaign against illegal drugs and loose firearms.

“This operation is another clear message that the PNP remains relentless in its campaign against illegal drugs and loose firearms. We will continue to pursue all those who threaten the peace and safety of our communities, while ensuring that our actions are anchored on respect for human rights and due process,” Ardiente stated.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to sustain proactive operations across the region to maintain peace, order, and community safety.
