KIDAPAWAN CITY – In a show of force and firm resolve against lawlessness on the road, the City Government of Kidapawan on Thursday, October 31, crushed several impounded colorum motorcycles and illegal “bora-bora” mufflers right in front of the City Hall.

The destruction, carried out using a road roller, served as a stern warning to hardheaded motorists who continue to violate traffic and noise regulations. The seized motorcycles and modified exhaust pipes were previously confiscated during a series of joint operations conducted by city authorities.

According to the City Government, the initiative is part of its ongoing campaign against public disturbances, vices, and other illegal activities that disrupt peace and order in the city.

Authorities stressed that colorum motorcycles—those operating without proper registration or permits—pose serious risks to public safety, while the use of modified mufflers has been a recurring source of noise complaints from residents.

City officials reiterated their call for motorists to comply with existing traffic and vehicle regulations, warning that future violators will face similar consequences.

The dramatic crushing of the illegal items underscores Kidapawan’s commitment to promoting discipline, safety, and order on its roads.
