MABINI, Davao de Oro (October 1, 2025) — Anti-narcotics agents arrested three individuals during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cadunan, Mabini, Davao de Oro, seizing suspected shabu worth ₱130,000 and a firearm.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Provincial Office in Davao de Oro reported that the operation was carried out around 3:00 a.m. in Purok 9, targeting a known drug personality identified as alias “Nikoy,” 25.
An undercover agent was able to purchase suspected shabu worth ₱10,000 from “Nikoy,” leading to his arrest. When operatives entered the area, believed to be a drug den, they also apprehended two other individuals identified as alias “Oning,” allegedly working inside the den, and alias “Aying,” said to be a visitor at the time.
Authorities confiscated seven more sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱130,000, along with a Glock .40 pistol.
The suspects are now in PDEA custody and will face charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Republic Act 9165) and illegal possession of firearms.
PDEA-XI vowed to continue its intensified operations in Davao de Oro to dismantle drug networks operating in the province.
