BONIFACIO, Misamis Occidental — Three suspected drug personalities were arrested during a buy-bust operation led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Misamis Occidental Provincial Office and its Interdiction Unit, in coordination with the Bonifacio Municipal Police Station, on Sunday evening, October 5, 2025, in Barangay Digson, Bonifacio.

Authorities identified the suspects only by their aliases — “Majade,” “Billy,” and “Jessiel.” Initial reports indicated that two of them were alleged drug den maintainers, while the third was reportedly a visitor at the time of the operation.

Seized from the suspects were approximately 12 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug value of ₱81,600 and a street value of around ₱30,000.

Among the confiscated drug evidence were one sachet of suspected shabu worth ₱500 used as the buy-bust item, twenty-six sachets weighing around 11 grams, and a small plastic container containing roughly one gram of the illegal substance.

Non-drug items recovered from the scene included several coin purses used to store drugs, aluminum foil strips, an improvised needle, surgical scissors, disposable lighters, and three Infinix smartphones. Authorities also seized one genuine ₱500 bill used as buy-bust money, a 9mm pistol with a magazine and eight live rounds, and three motorcycles — two Yamaha Mio i125 units and one black Kawasaki KMX.

The suspects are now facing multiple charges for violations of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 15 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as well as Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

All personnel involved in the operation were reported safe and accounted for.

In a statement, PDEA Misamis Occidental emphasized that the operation reflects their ongoing campaign to eliminate illegal drug activities across the province.

“This successful operation is a result of strong coordination and community vigilance. We continue to urge the public to work hand in hand with us by reporting any information related to illegal drug activities. Together, we can keep our communities safe and drug-free,” the agency said.

Authorities vowed to sustain their intensified operations to dismantle remaining drug networks and maintain peace and order in Misamis Occidental.
