SULU — Sixteen individuals were rescued after a motor launch experienced engine trouble while sailing in the waters off Sulu on Wednesday, October 15.

According to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), the rescued individuals included 11 crewmembers and five passengers of M/L Niesah, which drifted near Capual Island in the municipality of Omar.
