Polomolok, South Cotabato — The Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) struck another major blow against the illegal drug trade after joint operatives arrested three high-value targets and seized an estimated ₱1.7 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Glamang, Polomolok, on September 14, 2025.

The anti-drug operation, conducted at around 5:57 p.m., was spearheaded by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 12 (RPDEU-12) in coordination with the Regional Intelligence Unit 12 (RIU-12), the Philippine Drug Enforcement Group–Special Operations Unit 12 (PDEG SOU-12), Polomolok Municipal Police Station, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 12 (PDEA-12).

Arrested were three suspects identified only by their aliases: “Moks,” 36, jobless, resident of Barangay Lagao, General Santos City; “Boyet,” 52, driver, from Barangay Sinawal, General Santos City; and “Robot,” 50, jobless, from Barangay Dadiangas West, General Santos City.

Authorities recovered from their possession a total of 250 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱1,700,000. The seized evidence included two medium sachets weighing 5 grams each, four large sachets weighing 50 grams each, one large sachet weighing 25 grams, and three more sachets of varying weights.

Also confiscated during the operation were ₱14,000 in buy-bust money—consisting of one genuine ₱1,000 bill and thirteen counterfeit ₱1,000 bills—along with an Android phone, assorted wallets, IDs, around ₱800 in cash, jewelry, sling bags, and personal photos.

The marking and inventory of the seized items were conducted in the presence of the suspects, a human rights representative, Barangay Glamang SK Chairman, and a media practitioner. The evidence has since been turned over for forensic examination, while the suspects are now detained at Polomolok MPS pending the filing of charges.

PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of PRO 12, commended the operatives for their dedication and reiterated the police force’s determination to stamp out the illegal drug menace in the region.

“Let this serve as a strong message to all drug personalities in Region 12 that the PNP will not stop until we cut the roots of this menace that destroys lives and communities. We call on the public to continue working with us—together, we can win this fight,” Ardiente said.
